Promo code checklist (before you book)

Confirm the code applies to your route + travel dates (not just booking dates).
Check cabin restrictions: many codes exclude Basic Economy.
Watch minimum spend requirements and “one-way only” exclusions.
Know what the discount applies to: base fare only vs. total price (taxes usually excluded).

Common promo-code traps

“Up to X% off” only applies to a tiny set of flights.
Codes that work only on an airline’s app or only on desktop.
Increased base fares cancel out the discount.
Bundles (seat/bag packages) often don’t qualify.

Record whether it worked with a specific route/cabin.
